My Story
My name is Laken James and I am the Founder of Five Star Academy. I grew up in a small community in Wisconsin and later went on to play basketball at the college of my dreams - University of Wisconsin Green Bay. After a standout Senior season at Green Bay, I was blessed to continue my career at the Professional Level overseas in Europe.

Along each milestone of my career, my passion for giving back to the next generation of female athletes grew stronger and stronger. I have experienced firsthand the importance of mental training and the power of dreaming big. So it's my mission is to inspire and motivate the next generation by providing them the tools so they too can unlock their full potential.
